Would you like to sponsor a pathway for internationally qualified nurses to work in Australia to help solve the problem of a shortage of Nurses in Australia?

Innovation is born from a problem, and it starts with an effective solution. The better the match between the problem and the solution, the more likely the idea is to have a profound impact.

The Problem;

Australia is facing a shortfall of at least 110,000 aged care workers within a decade – or 400,000 workers by 2050 – unless urgent action is taken to boost the workforce now, a new report has warned.

Australia will need 35,000 more direct aged care workers every year simply to meet basic standards of care, according to a new report by the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA).

AusPath’s Solution.

The easy way to solve this problem would be to bring in thousands of Nurses per year from developed countries such as the US, Canada & the UK. But all these countries have the same Nursing shortage problems also. So, they are in huge demand in their own countries with little incentive to sell their homes and pack their bags and migrate to Australia, apart from the weather.

Many of these countries are also streamlining the process for international Nurses to become registered in their countries, and attracting the talent, which we hope the Australian Gov will soon follow suit.

The only way to solve this problem is to onboard privately funded Nurses from countries such as the Philippines, as they produce more Nurses than they require internally every year. They all speak English extremely well & are university trained with a Bachelor’s Degree.

Plus, these Nurses are generally not able to earn much at home, or sometimes to even gain suitable employment, so the motivation for them to come to Australia to work is huge. Not only because of the potential income they can earn, but there are many more reasons such as higher levels of training, facilities, lifestyle, and the chance for permanent residency. And if they decide to return to their country of origin, their newly acquired skillsets will be in huge demand securing ongoing employment and financial security.

Therefore, at AusPath we believe our innovation will be in great demand & hugely successful. But we need like-minded sponsors to help make this possible.
